COASTAL CURRENTS 2011

Coastal Currents is currently inviting artists from the UK and beyond to develop a series of events, artists' interventions, exhibitions and community projects that challenge, engage and inspire their audience.
This year's festival aims to highlight key locations, histories and new cultural developments around the characterful, creative and resilient towns of Hastings and St Leonards.
In its 12th year Coastal Currents provides an exciting platform for artists, residents and visitors to explore and celebrate the town's thriving creative communities.
This year's festival begins on the evening of Saturday 27 August with Spotlight a bold launch event encompassing a wide range of performances, interventions, projections, interactive events and an illuminated procession - so why not get involved?
There are several options - you could submit a proposal to the open submission competition SPOTLIGHT:OPEN, take part in the popular Open Studios programme, register an event or exhibition during September for inclusion in the festival brochure or just simply lend a hand.

Deadline 3 June 5pm
Submission forms available to download from www.coastalcurrents.org.uk or email Creative Coast on info@coastalcurrents.org.uk.

The festival is managed by Creative Coast (Sarah Yates and Lorna Crabbe) on behalf of Hastings borough Council.
