The collection has started for this exciting aspex project - Working Title - with a weird and wonderful range of objects having already been donated. We have bicycle wheels, an ab cruncher, dartboard, saucepan, coffee pot, lampshades, loads of wood, boxes, toaster, television, chairs, record player, umbrella and more! And there's still plenty of opportunity for you to add to the collection, just drop off any unwanted domestic objects at the gallery tomorrow, or any day next week when artists Will Cruickshank and Paul Matosic will be working in the gallery.
In fact, there will be at least eleven artists working in the main gallery space from now until 25 September. As well as Will and Paul there will be Nicola Dale, Thomas Davis, Lode Geens, Amy Twigger Holroyd, Charlie Hurcombe, Beata Kozlowska, Andy Parker, Tamara Van San and Jason Taylor. They will each spend up to two-weeks over the course of the experiment working with your unwanted objects and turning them into something potentially beautiful and definitely different. Visitors will also be welcome to observe and talk to the artists and there is even an interactive family area so you can turn your hand at making something yourself.
